In January 2019, BOOM fact-checked a viral claim that former British Prime Minister Tony Blair said 'India's future is safe in Rahul Gandhi's hands.'

BOOM found that while Blair had met Gandhi recently in Delhi, no such statement was made by him. The fact-check also recalled what Blair had said about Rahul Gandhi in 2008.
