In June 2024, BOOM fact-checked a doctored video that claimed US President Joe Biden fell asleep during a TV interview.

BOOM found that the original footage was of an interview with singer and actor Harry Belafonte, during which Belafonte appeared to doze off. The misleading video was manipulated to create a false narrative about Biden.
