The claims made by Congress and Adani Watch that mistakenly identified an associate of the Adani Group as a Chinese national.

The error arose from the fact that the document used to support the claim listed the associate as a citizen of the 'Republic of China'—which is actually the official name of Taiwan, not mainland China. BOOM clarified that the individual in question is a Taiwanese national, not Chinese, and the misidentification was due to a misunderstanding of Taiwan's official designation.
