New Delhi, the capital city of India, serves as the seat of the Government of India, housing the President’s Residence (Rashtrapati Bhavan), Parliament House, and the Supreme Court of India. New Delhi often witnesses major political events, protests, and public gatherings, with issues ranging from social justice and economic reforms to environmental policies and international relations. The city has also been a focal point during significant movements, including the Anna Hazare-led anti-corruption protests in 2011, the Nirbhaya protests in 2012, and the Farmers’ Protest in 2020-21.
