Mahua Moitra

Mahua Moitra, born on October 12, 1974, in Kolkata, West Bengal, is an Indian politician and a prominent leader of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC). She currently serves as a Member of Parliament representing the Krishnanagar constituency in West Bengal. Known for her eloquence and fiery speeches, Moitra has been a vocal advocate on issues such as freedom of speech, civil liberties, and government accountability. Her speeches in the Lok Sabha, often critical of the ruling government, have earned her significant recognition.

Before entering politics, Moitra had a successful career in investment banking and served as the Vice President at JPMorgan Chase in London. She entered politics in 2008 and quickly rose within the TMC, gaining prominence for her sharp articulation of issues and strong opposition to policies she disagrees with. Her outspoken stance on various social and political matters has made her both a celebrated and controversial figure in Indian politics.
