Imran Khan

Imran Khan, born on October 5, 1952, in Lahore, Pakistan, is a former international cricketer, philanthropist, and politician who served as the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan from 2018 to 2022. Before entering politics, Khan was a celebrated cricketer who captained Pakistan to victory in the 1992 Cricket World Cup, earning him national acclaim. His philanthropic work includes the establishment of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, named after his mother, and Namal University in Mianwali, Pakistan, emphasizing healthcare and education.

Khan founded the political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 1996, advocating for justice, accountability, and welfare reforms. After years of political struggle, PTI won the 2018 general elections, making Khan the Prime Minister of Pakistan. His tenure was marked by efforts to improve economic stability, address corruption, and navigate foreign relations, particularly with India, China, and the United States. In 2022, Khan faced a no-confidence motion that led to his ouster from office, making him the first Pakistani Prime Minister to be removed through such a motion.
