In the last 24 hours, India reported 2,573 new cases and 83 new deaths taking the total number of cases and deaths in the country to 42,836 and 1,389.

Rajasthan Reports 123 New Cases, 4 Deaths
Rajasthan reported 123 new COVID19 cases, and four deaths on May 4, 2020, have been reported in the state according to the state health department. Total number of positive cases stand at 3009, and 75 deaths
India's Case Count Reaches 42,000
The total number of cases and deaths in India reached 42,553 and 1373 after India witnessed a spike of 2,290 cases and 67 deaths since its last update.
India doubled its cases from 20,000 to 40,000 in 11 days.
Biggest 24-hour Spike In COVID-19 Cases And Deaths
More than a month into the nationwide lockdown, India recorded the biggest jump in COVID-19 cases and deaths in the last 24 hours, with 2,644 new cases and 83 deaths.
The total number of cases in the country is now at 39,980, with the death toll at 1,301.
The lockdown has also been extended for another two weeks, as the country grapples with the exponential rise in cases.
Delhi Reports 384 Fresh Cases, 3 Deaths
The union territory of Delhi reported 384 cases, taking the total active tally in the state to 2802. The total cases in the region stands at 4,122. The UT also reported 3 deaths, taking the death toll of the UT to 64.
