404 Indian contacts of the US citizen who tested positive for COVID-19 in Bhutan have been identified and put under surveillance in Assam.
France, Germany, Spain Visas Suspended.
All regular Visas (including e Visas) which have been granted to nationals of France, Germany and Spain on or before 11.03.2020 and where these foreigners have not yet entered India stands suspended. Regular visas (including e Visas)granted to all foreign nationals who have travel history to these countries on or after 1.2.2020 and who have not yet entered India also stands suspended. Visas of all foreigners already in India remain valid and they may contact the nearest FRRO/FRO through e-FRRO module for extension/conversion etc of their visa or grant of any consular service, if they choose to do so.
Ministry Confirms 50 Cases
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued an advisory confirming 50 cases in India as of March 10, 2020.
Four new cases from Bangalore with three of the cases travelling from US via Dubai and one of them travelling from US via Heathrow were confirmed. The two others are from Pune with travel history to Dubai.
Indians Evacuated From Iran
IAF C-17 returns from Iran to Hindon airbase with 58 Indian citizens on-board. The passengers include 25 men, 31 women and 2 children. The aircraft also carried 529 samples for testing. This is in addition to the earlier samples that were brought from Iran.
Kerala Reports 6 New Cases
Kerala CM Vijayan told PTI that the state has 6 additional cases of COVID-19, but the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has not confirmed any new cases since March 9.
ICMR Reports New Cases
The Indian Council of Medical Research which supervises the administration for the National Institute of Virology, Pune issued a statement speaking about the newer confirmed cases that they have reported between March 9 and March 10.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, however, has not issued any such statement after confirming 44 cases on March 9.
The ICMR statement confirms one in Kerala two cases in Pune, and three in Bengaluru, Karnataka while stating that 45 of the 3828 samples they've tested are positive. The Ministry is yet to officially declare the change in the number of cases.
Karnataka And Punjab Report New Cases
India reported two new cases of coronavirus cases which takes the total toll to 45 till now. The two new cases are from Bengaluru and Punjab.
Karnataka Medical Education Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar said, “A Bengaluru resident tests positive for Coronavirus. The person has travel history to the USA". “The condition of the person who has tested positive for Coronavirus is stable," he further added.
The software engineer had travelled from Austin, Texas on 28 February through New York and then to Dubai, before landing in Bengaluru on 1 March. His wife and daughter are currently lodged in a health facility in the city.
One of his colleagues has also been admitted to the the hospital for displaying similar symptoms. Around 2666 people may have come in contact with the techie.
Man who returned from Italy confirmed positive for coronavirus in Punjab, first case in state according to an official
A Hoshiarpur resident, who returned from Italy last week, has tested positive for coronavirus afflictions, becoming the first such case in Punjab.
"The man who returned to Amritsar by an Air India flight from Milan in Italy has tested positive for coronavirus. He had landed at Amritsar International Airport via Delhi on March 4 along with his two other family members," Punjab Principal Secretary (Health) Anurag Aggarwal said.

Qatar Bans Air Travel From 14 Countries Including India
Qatar has temporarily barred travellers from 14 countries from March 9 as a precaution against the rapidly spreading coronavirus.
The ban covers China, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Syria and Thailand. Qatar Airways had already suspended flights to and from Italy.
Cases In India Raise To 43
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare put out a press release confirming the Ernakulam case which takes India's count to 43.
Sanjeeva Kumar, Spl. Secretary (Health) also clarified that the patient who died in Murshidabad, West Bengal tested negative for COVID-19 and hence, so far no death has been reported due to COVID-19 in the country.
