ICMR Study Finds 1.8% SARI Patients Positive
The Indian Council of Medical Research has conducted a sentinel surveillance on 5,911 Severely Accurate Respiratory Illness patients to test for the emergence of COVID-19. A hundred and four of these patients (1.8%) tested positive for COVID-19 from 52 districts in 21 states. Forty from these have have no travel history.

Enough HCQ in the country: MEA, MOHFW
In the press conference on April 10, 2020, the Ministry of External Affairs mentioned that there are enough hydroxychloroquine tablets available in the country for domestic purposes and only after ensuring that there are enough domestic supplies, the government has prepared a list of countries to export the medicine.
Currently, the government has 3.28 crores of HCQ tablets while it needs only 1.6 crore till the end of this month.
MEA Has Evacuated Over 20,000 Foreign Nationals
The Ministry of External Affairs has evacuated over 20,473 foreign nationals from the country in purview of the lockdown and the growing cases of COVID-19.
The MEA also stated that the decision on the lockdown will be reviewed in a couple of days.
Mumbai Sees 10 New Deaths: BMC
The BMC confirmed that the city saw 10 new death related to COVID-19, taking the city's death toll to 64. Further, 4 patients recovered on April 10, with the total recoveries in the city being at 69. 9 out of 10 death had co-morbidities or some age-related factor.
218 New Cases In Mumbai: BMC
The BMC said on April 10 that there were 218 fresh cases in the city, taking the total cases in the city up to 993 since January this year, in the single biggest spike in cases yet. Further, the BMC reported that 292 suspected patients were admitted, taking the suspected admission count up to 4035. 16,000 tests were conducted in government and in private labs in the city.
Srinagar Reports 8 New Cases
Srinagar, Jammu And Kashmir, reported eight new COVID-19 cases on April 10, 2020. 7 out of the 8 tested positive are from a group and eight is their local contact.
Punjab Becomes Second State To Extend Lockdown
The Punjab government on April 10, 2020, extended the lockdown till May 1, 2020, becoming the second state after Odisha to do so.

India Reports 896 New Cases, 37 New Deaths In The Last 24 Hours
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported a total of 6761 positive cases in the country on April 10, 2020. 37 deaths and 896 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
