Siddaramaiah, born on August 3, 1947, is a prominent Indian politician serving as the 22nd Chief Minister of Karnataka since 2023. He previously held the same position from 2013 to 2018, making him one of the few to serve a full five-year term. Siddaramaiah is affiliated with the Indian National Congress and currently leads the Congress Legislative Party. He represents the Varuna Assembly constituency and has previously represented Badami and Chamundeshwari constituencies in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Siddaramaiah has also served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka and as the Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly.
