Nara Chandrababu Naidu is an Indian politician and the president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He has been a prominent figure in Andhra Pradesh politics for decades, serving multiple terms as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Born on April 20, 1950, in Naravaripalle, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, Naidu entered politics at a young age, initially as a member of the Indian National Congress. However, in 1983, he joined the newly formed Telugu Desam Party, founded by his father-in-law and iconic actor-politician N.T. Rama Rao.

Naidu served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 1995 to 2004 and again from 2014 to 2019, following the bifurcation of the state into Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Renowned for his emphasis on technological development, Naidu played a key role in making Hyderabad a prominent tech hub during his tenure. He focused on infrastructure, IT investments, and economic reforms to drive the state's growth. His recent tenure saw efforts to develop Amaravati as the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, aiming to create a world-class urban center.

In May 2024, BOOM debunked a viral graphic allegedly from The News Minute, which predicted a landslide victory for a TDP-led NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh.

BOOM found that The News Minute had not released this graphic, and it was falsely attributed to them.
