      Bajrang Punia won India's sixth medal in Tokyo after winning bronze in the men's 65kg freestyle wrestling event. India began their final day at the Tokyo Olympics with a chance of adding at least three medals to its tally. Aditi Ashok, the biggest surprise of the Games from an Indian perspective, missed out on a medal in the women's golf event by a single shot to finish fourth. Neeraj Chopra will be the last Indian athlete in action when he takes part in the men's javelin throw final.

        The men's badminton doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty lose to the top-ranked Indonesian pair of Marcus Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya 13-21, 12-21.
