        Vodka Maker In USA Announces Its Products Will Not Clear Coronavirus

        The World Health Organization announced that alcohol based hand rubs may prevent against the recent Coronavirus. 

        Following this, many people considered making some of their own. Vodka maker Titos had to push out a statement after a user bragged about using their product to make one at home

        "Per the CDC, hand sanitizer needs to contain at least 60% alcohol," Tito's Handmade Vodka tweeted on Thursday. "Tito's Handmade Vodka is 40% alcohol, and therefore does not meet the current recommendation of the CDC."

        In an attached statement, Tito's cited the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention by saying that washing hands is still the best way to fight the virus.

        21 people on stranded cruise ship tested positive for coronavirus: US Vice President

        After the Diamond Princess parked off at Tokyo and had over 700 positive cases, another cruise has come under the line of fire. 

        Twenty-one people aboard a cruise ship that was barred from docking in San Francisco have tested positive for coronavirus, U.S. officials said on Friday, as the fast-spreading respiratory disease was reported in half a dozen new US states. Vice President Mike Pence, who is running the U.S. response to the outbreak, said at a news conference that 19 crew members and two passengers out of 46 people tested so far on the Grand Princess ocean liner had the virus. The vessel, with about 3,400 passengers and crew, would be taken to a non-commercial port where everyone on board would be tested, he said.

        Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said anganwadis have been closed in view of the coronavirus scare. The government child-care centres have been closed from Friday, he added. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country is 31, according to Union health ministry officials

        Global Confirmed Cases Cross 100,000

        The global number of confirmed cases for COVID-19, the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus, has crossed 100,000 in around 90 countries across the world. 

        From this, around 55,700 have recovered while there have been 3,404 deaths across the world. 

        On March 6, Netherlands, Slovakia, Vatican City, Peru, Cameroon reported first confirmed cases of COVID-19

        Seven Family Members Of 2nd Delhi Case Quarantined At Home

        Seven family members of a man who tested positive for coronavirus after his visit to Thailand have been quarantined at their residence in west Delhi, a health official said on Friday. The 25-year-old man, who also travelled to Malaysia, has tested positive for COVID-19, taking the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the national capital to three. The office of the patient, who has been shifted to the Safdarjung Hopsital for treatment, is in Gurgaon but he operated from his residence. A Paytm employee who tested positive for coronavirus is also a resident of west Delhi. So far, 31 people have tested positive for coronavirus in India, according to the Union Health Ministry.

        On March 5, 2020, The Union Health Minister of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare addressed the Lok Sabha about India's efforts to tackle COVID-19, the novel strain of the Coronavirus. 

        Ritesh Pandey, BSP MP from Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh requested the Minister to take into consideration the burgeoning prices of masks and sanitizers. In response, the Minister stated that strict action will be taken against corrupt shopkeepers on March 6.

        Indian Army To Establish Quarantine Facilities For 1500

        Indian Army has issued detailed instructions with respect to preparations and emergency response against COVID-19 fight. Military hospitals would establish isolation wards and have separate OPSs to screen symptomatic cases. These hospitals will work along with civil medical authorities and designated Indian Council of Medical Research labs. The Army will also establish quarantine facilities for 1,500 personnel in Jaisalmer, Suratgarh, Secundrabad, Chennai and Kolkata.
