        Maharashtra Officials To Face Salary Cuts

        Maharashtra Deputy CM and state Finance minister Ajit Pawar has issued orders that salaries of all elected representatives, including CM and all MLAs-MLCs, will be cut by 60% for the month of March, reported news wire agency ANI.

        Nizammudin Gathering Raises Mass Transmission Scare

        Tablighi-e-Jamaat's annual Markhaj Nizammudin gathering has emerged as a new hotspot for the spread of the COVID-19.

        This gathering was attended by many people from India as well as Indonesia and Malaysia. 

        Many people who attended the congregation have tested positive for COVID-19. Nine in Andaman and Nicobar islands as well as 24 people in Delhi tested positive for the same. 

        Six of the attendees who later travelled to Telangana have died due to the coronavirus in three different hospitals in the state.

        India Reports 1251 Cases, 32 Deaths

        The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare confirmed 1251 cases and 32 deaths of COVID-19 in the country as of 9:30 PM on March 30, 2020.

        The country witnessed 227 new cases as it reported 1024 cases on March 29, 2020. The country also reported three new COVID-19 deaths.
