Video From Manipur Falsely Shared As Chinese Troops In Arunachal Pradesh

A video of a convoy of trucks, with gunfire audible in the background and a group of women attempting to stop the vehicles, is viral on social media, falsely claiming that it depicts Chinese troops entering Arunachal Pradesh.

BOOM found that the video is from April 25, 2026 when an Assam Rifles convoy forcibly entered Hoomi village in Manipur.

Arunachal Pradesh-based organisation Nah Welfare Society (NWS) alleged that the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is encroaching on Indian territory near Taksing in Upper Subansiri district on June 27. The Indian Army has denied these reports on June 29, calling them baseless.

      The Claim:
The 19-second video is being shared with claims that Chinese troops have entered several kilometers into Arunachal Pradesh and condemning the Indian government for its silence on the matter.

Is it true that China has occupied several kilometers of land in Arunachal Pradesh?

If it's true, then why are our fourth pillar (the media) and the government silent about it?

And if it's false, then why doesn't the government come and officially deny these claims? pic.twitter.com/arbOdyGiWk

      What We Found:
      1) Video from Assam Rifles Convoy Forcefully Entering Hoomi, Manipur
A reverse image search traced the video to a post from April 25 confirming its origin. Video reports from that date document Assam Rifles convoys forcefully breaking through a blockade of women protesters from Talui village in Manipur.

At around 1 PM on Saturday, an Assam Rifles convoy coming from Ukhrul HQ reportedly forced its way through a barricade set up by local women at Talui village amid rising tensions. Gunfire was alleged as the convoy crossed, triggering panic and leaving one woman injured.
