No Public Gatherings In UP Till June 30: CM
Chief Minister of the state of Uttar Pradesh has said that all gatherings would be prohibited in the state till June 30. This would apply even the ongoing lockdown was lifted on May 3.
Lockdown likely to impact 29 lakh aviation jobs: IATA
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) said that the lockdown could impact 29 lakh (2.9 million) aviation sector jobs in India - or 29,32,900 jobs to be specific. This would be across aviation and all allied industries. Further, the financial hit to airlines operating to and from India would be $11.221 billion (₹85,000 crores).
Singapore confirms 618 new cases
The city-state of Singapore has confirmed 618 news cases, bringing the total to 12,693 cases. It is the lowest community cases since March 29. A dormitory in the city has been reported to have 2,263 cases, around a fifth of the total cases.
IIT Delhi's testing kit gets ICMR approval
A low cost testing kit by IIT Delhi has received the ICMR's approval, and it costs a few hundred rupees. IIT Delhi is now in the process of identifying an industry partner to begin production.

25 new cases in Rajasthan, 15 in Karnataka
25 new cases were reported in Rajasthan, bringing their total cases up to 2056. No deaths were reported in Rajasthan.
In Karnataka, 15 new cases have been reported in the state's morning bulletin.
US death toll crosses 50,000
A tally of cases and deaths maintained by Johns Hopkins University shows that the United States crossed 50,000. It is the country with the highest tally of cases and of deaths in the world.
India reports 1,054 cases, 52 deaths
Latest data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare shows that India has 24,506 cases, an increase of 1,054 cases from the April 25 update. Further, 52 additional deaths from COVID-19 were reported, taking the total death toll to 775.
India's recovery rate continues to be just above 20%.
