605 New Cases, 38 New Deaths
India has reported 605 new cases and 38 new deaths which takes the total number of cases to 29,435 and deaths to 924 in the country.
Five of the eight North-east Indian states have no active cases of COVID-19.
Maharashtra Reports 27 New Deaths
Maharashra reported 27 new deaths taking the the state's toll to 369 deaths. Mumbai reported 15 deaths, Amravati reported 6, Pune reported 4 and Jalgaon and Auranagabad reported one death each.
488 New Cases, 14 New Deaths
The total number of cases and deaths in India have risen to 28,380 and 886 after the country reported 488 new cases and 14 new deaths.
Nine states have reported more than 1000 cases while the death toll is increasing in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttars Pradesh,
33 Max Hospital Staffers In Delhi Test Positive
According to PTI, thirty three staff members from Max Hospital in East Delhi have tested positive for COVID-19 over the last two weeks. This includes two doctors along with other nurses and paramedic staff.
China Denies Accusations Of Spreading Disinformation
China's foreign ministry on Monday denied claims that Beijing is spreading disinformation about the coronavirus following a European Union report that said there was "significant evidence" of covert Chinese operations on social media.
Containment Zones Have Decreased In Mumbai: Mayor
Mumbai's Mayor Kishori Pednekar announced that the number of containment zones in the city have decreased by 236 as these zones did not report any new cases in the last 14 days.
ICMR Has Not Paid For Rapid Testing Kits
The Indian Council of Medical Research has issued a clarification stating that it has not paid any money for the Rapid Antibody Testing Kits that it is returning to the Chinese distributor.
It further clarified that it had purchased the testing kits for 600 rupees from Wondfo's Indian distributor who did not seek an advance. THe order now stands cancelled as the test kits were sub par.

ICMR Advisory On Rapid Testing Kits
The Indian Council of Medical Research has notified states to not use the rapid antibody testing kits procured from Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech and Zhuhai Livzon Diagnostics after they were found to be sensitive after evaluation.
