Indian Railways Cancels All Passenger Trains Till March 31, 2020
In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Indian Railways halted operation of all trains except goods trains till March 31, 2020.
Strengthening precautions against COVID-19, Railways has decided that no passenger train will run up to 31st March.

341 Tested Positive: Indian Council of Medical Research
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) reported 341 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the country as of March 22, 2020, at 10 am.
Maharashtra Reports 10 New Cases
Maharashtra Health Minister, Rajesh Tope stated that the state has reported 10 new positives cases of COVID-19, from which six are from Mumbai and four from Pune. This takes the count to count to 74 cases of COVID-19 as on March 22, 2020.
India's Cases Rise To 324
The total number of COVID-19 cases in India rose to according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This includes five deaths due to the coronavirus outbreak as of 11.45 am as on March 22, 2020.

India Reports 5th Death
India reported its 5th death due to COVID-19 on March 22, 2020. A 63-year-old patient who had a chronic history of diabetes, high blood pressure and ischemic heart succumbed to his illness on March 21, 2020, said the Public Health Department of Maharashtra in a press release.
COVID-19 Testing By Private Labs Allowed By ICMR, Capped At Rs 4500
The Ministry of Health And Family Welfare issued a set of guidelines laid down by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for testing COVID-19 in private labs on March 21, 2020. MoHFW put a cap on the maximum cost for testing sample, which may include “Rs 1,500 as a screening test for suspect cases, and an additional Rs 3,000 for confirmation test.”.

Mumbai Shuts Down Local Trains For Non Essential Travel Till Further Orders
Following the growing number of cases, Maharashtra government has decided to shut down its local train travel for unnecessary travel from March 22 till further orders. Only people working with the government and with the list of essential services will be permitted to travel. The railway will deploy guards at stations who will let people enter only after checking their credentials, reported Katta News.
People who were asked to be quarantined and seen to be flouting rules, or people conducting unnecessary travel will have appropriate action taken against them.
