A year after the SARS-CoV-2 has infected close to 97 million people and claimed over 2 million lives, over 233 vaccines are in different stages of administration, approval, and trial. We take a look at some of the candidates from India and the world. While Pfizer and Moderna have already received approval abroad, India has approved emergency use authorisation for the Oxford- AstraZeneca vaccine manufactured by Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech's indigenously produced Covaxin.
