Twitter is a social media platform founded in 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams. It is designed for microblogging, allowing users to share short messages called “tweets” with a character limit that initially started at 140 and later expanded to 280. The platform is known for its hashtag system, enabling users to follow specific topics, trends, and events. It has also undergone a rebranding to X, focusing on transforming into a more comprehensive platform beyond microblogging, including features like longer posts, payments, and extended videos.
