Madhavi Latha, 49, born in Hyderabad, Telangana, holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Nizam College and a master’s degree in Political Science from Osmania University. Madhavi, in her professional life has been involved in politics, activism and business. She is also a professional Bharatanatyam dancer. Madhavi joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2024 and was announced as the candidate for Hyderabad in the 18th Lok Sabha Elections. Apart from politics, she has run two Charitable Organizations - the Lopamudra Charitable Trust and the Lathama Foundation

Recently, BOOM found a false video of Madhavi Latha being widely shared holding a teleprompter remote.

We found that she was holding a digital counter for pooja and meditation (Portable Plastic Beads, Rotating Digital Finger Counter for Pooja Meditation Prayer), which was being shared with a caption “Teleprompter makes a good orator. BJP is full of perfidious characters”. We also checked other interviews of Latha where we can see her holding the same device in her hands and it can clearly be made out that it is not a remote control.

Another fake news that BOOM has debunked just a couple days ago of Latha was, where she is saying “I am not a woman” was a cropped video and taken out of context. We ran a search on the Youtube channel with the keyword “Madhavi Latha '' and found her full statement saying “I am not a woman, I am Shakti (divine feminine force)”. The clip was being cropped and shared to spread false news.
