ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria)

ISIS also known as ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) or Daesh, is a militant terrorist organization that emerged in the early 2000s. It gained international notoriety in 2014 when it declared a caliphate, capturing significant territories in Iraq and Syria.
