However, BOOM debunked this claim, revealing it as false. The original image was captured after the couple's wedding when they visited the Siddhivanayak temple in Mumbai on November 30, 2018. In the original photo, Deepika and Ranveer were seen wearing orange scarves with no text on them. BOOM had previously refuted this misinformation in April 2019 when it first surfaced.

The video, posted by Bollywood photographer Viral Bhayani's team, was taken on May 5, 2020, outside a medical and provision store in Bandra's Pali Hill. Despite claims circulating on social media, Rakul Preet Singh clarified that she was out to buy medicines, not alcohol.
