BOOM analysed the image and noticed stark discrepancies in the headline font used in the viral image.

We also ran a keyword search in Bengali in the website. The same article, with the correct headline had been uploaded on the news portal on April 20, 2019. The original headline of the lead story reads, "Give us 42 seats and we will show you how to shake up Delhi: Mamata"

The West Bengal chief minister made the comments while campaigning at TMC candidate Apurba Sarkar's rally in Berhampur, on April 19.

In the headline, the Bengali word for Delhi 'দিল্লী' has been replaced with Hindu 'হিন্দু' and shake up 'কাঁপাতে' has been replaced with cry 'কাঁদাতে' in Bengali.

In fact several netizens have pointed out the edited photo by posting the original newspaper clipping. BOOM Bangla had debunked the edited newspaper clipping, when the caption was viral in Bengali on Facebook.
