        JK Reports Two New Cases

        Two more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Srinagar, taking the total number of cases in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to six, a senior official said on Tuesday. "2 more cases reported positive in Srinagar. One has confirmed travel history outside India. Full details regarding the second being ascertained," government spokesman Rohit Kansal said in a tweet.

        UP To Declare COVID-19 As Disaster

        UP reported two new cases of COVID-19 taking the state's total to 35. 

        Anandiben Patel, the governor of Uttar Pradesh has decided to declare the Coornavirus Pandemic as a disaster.

        India Crosses 500 Cases

        The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported that India has 519 positive cases with 9 deaths as far as March 24, 2020, 5PM. 

        The Ministry has reported 27 new cases since its update on 24th morning.

        Maharashtra's Cases Cross 100

        Between March 23 and March 24, Maharashtra has reported 18 new cases taking the count to 107 from 89. 

        Fresh cases have been reported in Mumbai, Kalyan, Ahmednagar, Sangli, Khandala, Pune, Satara. 

        The state has the highest number of cases with three deaths

        Multiple States Announce New Cases

        Many states such as Karnataka, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu reported new cases. 

        Punjab reported 3 new cases from Jalandhar, taking the toll in the state to 24.

        Madhya Pradesh reported 2 new cases taking the total to 8, while Himachal Pradesh reported 2 new cases in Kangra. 

        Both Telangana and Tamil Nadu reported 3 cases each. All six have travel histories and take Telangana's total to 36, while Tamil Nadu's total is now 15.

        No ATM Charges For Cash Withdrawals: FM

        FM also announces lower digital transaction fee by banks for a period of 3 months. Also, there would be no applicable ATM charges for cash withdrawals, or minimum balance requirements in this period. This is to let depositors spend, and to ensure that cash is available at shorter distances.
