India Crosses 10,000 Cases

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has reported 1011 new cases and 15 new deaths as of April 14 taking the country's total cases to 10363 and deaths to 339. 

India doubled irs number of cases in 6 days. Maharashtra crossed 2000 cases while Delhi with 1510 cases isn't far behind. 

ICMR Advisory Pooled Sampling For Low Density Areas

The Indian Council of Medical Research has issued an advisory on pooled testing of samples that allow 5 samples to be tested together in low density areas. In pooled testing All the negative samples in a pool are to be considered negative while if it tests positive, all the samples should be run through the PCR again. 

Tamil Nadu, Arunachal Pradesh Extend Lockdowns

Tamil Nadu and Arunachal Pradesh have announced extending their lockdowns to April 30. They join Maharashtra, Punjab, Puducherry and Odisha. 

Google Pay Launches Nearby Spot For Groceries

Google has launched 'Nearby Spot' under Google Pay using which users in Bengaluru can see local stores selling essentials like groceries that are open, amid the lockdown.

The app is further going to be launched in Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, and Delhi soon.
