        The Punjab Government has announced that the curfew in Punjab will not be relaxed till May 3 owing to the increasing number of cases in the state.

        Rajasthan Reports 24 Deaths But Centre Sticks To 14

        Rajasthan state government's has reported 24 cumulative deaths in the state while the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has reprted 14 deaths in the state.

        Centre Sends Kerala Letter On Ease Of Lockdown

        The Central Government has written to Kerala pertaining its ease of restrictions in lockdown by allowing the opening of restaurants, bus travel in cities and opening of MSME industries in municipal areas, saying it amounts to dilution of its lockdown guidelines.

        Kerala responded by saying it had eased restrictions on the basis of the Central governments guidelines only

        Nine Day Infant Tests Positive In Bhopal

        A nine-day-old baby girl tested positive for COVID-19 in Bhopal on Sunday. She was born in Sultania Hospital, where two hospital nurses earlier tested positive for the virus.

        Her parents have been tested for the novel coronavirus, and their reports are awaited.

        Lok Sabha Secretariat To Resume Work From April 19

        According to the order issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, it will resume work from Monday, April 19 and all officers of the joint secretary rank and above will join office.

        Besides them, the other staff will work on a rotational basis. The secretariat staff will ensure that social distancing norms are observed.

        File movement shall only be through electronic mode in e-office. The only exception could be urgent files for the consideration of the Lok Sabha speaker.

        Goa, Manipur Have No Active Cases

        All the people who had tested positive for COVID-19 in Goa and Manipur have now tested negative. The seven people from Goa and two people from Manipur have tested negative and the states have no more active cases.

        The Telangana government has said that it is not easing restrictions on April 20 and is further extending its lockdown to May 7.

        Over 1000 New Cases, 24 Deaths

        The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has reported 1,149 new cases and 24 new deaths taking the total number of cases to 17,265 and deaths to 543. 

        The Ministry reported that it was reconciling its numbers with the numbers reported by ICMR as Delhi and Maharashtra cross 2000 and 4000 cases each. 

        India has reported around 1500 new cases in the last 24 hours.

        404 New Cases, 12 New Deaths

        The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare confirmed 16,116 cases and 519 deaths in the country. Uttar Pradesh became the 7th state to report more than 1000 cases in the country. 

        54 districts currently have not reported any fresh new cases in the last 14 days since the last case in the country. A district from Puducherry and a district from Karnataka have not revealed fresh cases after the last case in 28 days.
