Video Does Not Show AajTak Reporter Being Heckled By Former R&AW Chief

A video of former Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW) chief Amarjit Singh Dulat losing his temper during an interview is being shared with the false claim that it shows him slapping a reporter from Hindi news outlet AajTak during a podcast.

BOOM found that the interview was not conducted by AajTak. Journalist Jitesh Jethanandani conducted the interview with Dulat in May 2025 for the YouTube channel Bharat Raftar TV.

In the viral footage, the former R&AW chief throws his mic, leaves his seat, and hurls abuses at the journalist. The video carries an AajTak logo and an image of anchor Anjana Om Kashyap, along with the caption, "AAJ TAK Reporter SLAPPED in podcast."
