Cropped Video Falsely Shared As CJP Protesters Raising Islamic Slogans
BOOM found that the original, longer version of the video conveys a message of unity and includes slogans representing other faiths as well.
A cropped video is being shared online with the false communal claim that it shows Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) supporters raising the Islamic slogan 'Nara-e-Takbeer' during the protest.
BOOM found that the original video shows the speaker delivering a message of unity while raising slogans from other faiths alongside the Islamic ones.
Even after Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised action against officials accused of leaking examination papers, Cockroach Janata Party supporters remained on the streets, demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation. The opposition has also backed the youth-led protests, increasing pressure on the government while condemning the security forces' crackdown on protesters.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police called a genuine video from the July 20 protest, which alleged that police used batons fitted with nails against protesters, "fake" and warned of legal action against those sharing it. However, BOOM found that the video was indeed recorded on July 20 and showed protesters confronting police officials with the same allegation during the protest.
The Claim
Right-wing user @Mrsinha shared the video and wrote, "Islamic "Nara-e-Takbir" slogans from Cockroach protest site... As I said earlier, you think that you're supporting "students" but you're actually strengthening the Ghazwa-e-Hind warriors...."

What We Found: Longer Video Includes Slogans Representing Other Faiths
The Original Video: We went through the replies to the posts and found a comment claiming the video was cropped. The comment also shared an Instagram post, alleging that the longer version showed slogans such as "Jai Shri Ram," "Bharat Mata Ki Jai," and the Islamic slogan 'Nara-e-Takbeer' being raised.
When we opened the post, we found that Instagram user @Youtuber__sufiyan had shared a longer version of the video on July 23, 2026. In the video, the speaker is heard saying in Hindi: "Who says we Muslims don't say 'Jai Shree Ram' or 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'? We do. We stand united. 'Jai Shree Ram', 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', 'Nara-e-Takbeer', 'Allahu Akbar'."
