A video of a schoolgirl participating in a protest against the US-Israel war on Iran is being shared on X falsely claiming that it is from the recently held Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest on June 6, 2026. In the video, the girl makes a gaffe and incorrectly states that the ongoing war is between the US and Israel and does not mention Iran.
BOOM found that this viral video is from a March 2026 protest held by Left leaning parties, including the CPI(M), at Delhi's Jantar Mantar against the war between US-Israel and Iran.
School and college students, competitive exam aspirants, and parents gathered at Jantar Mantar on June 6 to participate in the Cockroach Janata Party protests against exam irregularities and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The Claim:
In the 30-second video, the girl states that she is in ninth standard and was representing her coaching center in the protest. Captions also accused her of being part of the "coaching mafia" at the CJP protest.
What We Found:
Video from March 2026 - BOOM found that the viral video predates the recent CJP protest. We spotted the mic that the anchor was holding had the logo of 'Political Adda', an online news outlet. The original video was posted by Political Adda's Facebook page on March 3, 2026. The video caption states that the protest was held by CPI(M) and other left parties at Jantar Mantar, against the US-Israel attack on Iran. We also found news reports on the protest being held at Jantar Mantar by Left parties against the war.
