Two unrelated videos, where a man is seen boasting about a murder and police parading two men, have been falsely linked to the recent Surya Chauhan murder incident in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
BOOM found that these are old videos from different crime incidents in Delhi and Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh.
A 17-year-old Surya Pratap Chauhan was allegedly stabbed to death in Ghaziabad by Asad and his associates on Bakrid, with the prime accused reportedly killed in a police encounter three days later.

Video 1:
The video shows a man allegedly boasting about a murder. It is being shared with the claim that it shows the prime accused of Surya Chauhan murder incident.
Video 2:
This video, showing police officers parading two men through a city, is being shared with a communal claim that two more Muslim men were arrested in connection with Surya Chauhan's death.
What we found:
1) First Video is from an unrelated murder case in Delhi
BOOM ran a reverse image search and found a news report from India Today dated April 4, 2026.
The video was recorded by Karan Kumar and uploaded to Instagram from his handle 'villain_dad_ok_109'. This video is from a separate case in Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, where a 20-year-old man, Nitesh, was stabbed to death by 18-year-old Karan and his two accomplices. Delhi Police arrested the accused later.
2) Second video is from an unrelated murder incident from Madhya Pradesh
A reverse image search result showed that the video of the accused being paraded by the police is from April 8, 2026. Hindi Daily, Dainik Bhaskar, reported that on April 5, 2026, around 11 pm, a 19-year-old Arun, resident of Narsinghpura, was stabbed by Rohit Bhati and Yuvraj Mali in Gandhi Chauraha area of Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh. A local video report on the incident can be seen below.
