An old video of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay traveling in a car is circulating online with a false claim that it shows his arrival at Delhi's Jantar Mantar to support the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest.
BOOM found that the video is from May 4, 2026, when Vijay went to collect his winning certificate following the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections and is unrelated to the CJP protest.
Ladakh Climate Activist Sonam Wangchuk started an indefinite hunger strike on June 28 as a part of the CJP protests over the alleged NEET paper leak. On July 18, he was forcibly taken to a hospital by the Delhi Police, prompting widespread concern from several public figures and political leaders.

2) Visuals match Vijay's election certificate collection
Local Tamil news outlets reported that Vijay was en route to collect his winning certificate at Loyola College, Chennai on May 4, 2026. The car, driver, and clothing in the viral video match the visuals from these news reports.
3) Delhi Police clarifies video is not from Jantar Mantar
The Delhi Police also issued a statement on X clarifying that the viral video was not from Jantar Mantar.
