An old video of educator and YouTuber Faisal Khan (popularly known as Khan Sir) bowing in front of a photograph of "Bharat Mata," is being shared on social media falsely linking it to the recent controversy involving TV news anchors and YouTube teachers.
BOOM found that this video is from May 26, 2021, and is unrelated to the recent events involving Khan.
Aaj Tak anchor Anjana Om Kashyap had courted controversy after her remarks on YouTube teachers calling them "worthless" and accusing them of chasing views went viral.
The Claim:
In the 19 seconds video, Khan can be seen expressing his disappointment over communalising of issues in the media. The video is being shared praising him for criticising the media over its communal coverage.

What We Found:
1) Original Video from 2021
We ran a reverse image search and found a Snapchat post that mentioned this was an old video. Taking a clue from this, we ran a keyword search on Khan's official YouTube channel -'Khan GS Research Centre'. This led us to the original video posted on March 26, 2021, titled 'Who Is Khan Sir|Khan Sir or Amit Singh'.
The viral section is taken from the 28:32 mark below.
2) Faisal Khan Shooting Case
Khan was booked by the Patna police after two security guards outside his coaching centre allegedly told the police that he ordered them to open fire during the violence outside the coaching centre on the night of June 2, 2026.
Patna High Court granted Khan an interim anticipatory bail on June 9, 2026. Khan has moved Court seeking quashing of the FIR. The petition also seeks directions to reopen the institute, which has been shut since the incident reported The Indian Express.
