Old Clips Falsely Shared As Hindutva Groups En Route To Counter CJP Protest

Three old, unrelated videos are being falsely circulated on social media as footage of Hindutva groups like the Bajrang Dal arriving in Delhi to counter the October 10, 2026 protest by the Cockroach Janta Party and allied opposition groups demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation.

BOOM found that the videos are old and unrelated to the ongoing demonstrations against Kumar by the CJP and other groups.

      What we found:
Upon examining the keyframes of the viral clip, we found the phrase 'Banti Meena Kanota' on one of the cars. Banti Meena Kanota is a Hindu organisation in Rajasthan. We checked the Instagram handle @bmk_group0017 and found the clip from the viral video posted on August 22, 2026.

Looking through the page, we found that the footage was from a rally that took place on July 21, 2026. Several clips posted by the handle around the same time also feature the people in the viral video.

The second clip featured in the viral video is from a Bajrang Dal protest in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh on June 4, 2026. According to reports, Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad activists submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police, demanding action against the rising drug abuse and other issues in the district.

Claim 2: Video of Hindutva Organisations arriving in Jantar Mantar
The 37-second video of a road rally by Hindutva organisations is being shared falsely claiming that it shows the groups arriving in Delhi.

Bajrang Dal issues statement saying they are not arriving in Delhi
The Bajrang Dal issued a statement on October 8, 2026 from its official X account stating that Bajrang Dal workers were not arrving in Delhi to counter the October 10, 2026 protests.

@PTI_News @ANI @ians_india @IANSKhabar

The Delhi Police has deployed 23,000 Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) personnel from 8 to 12 October for law and order duties during the protest.
