An unrelated video from the funeral of Amanullah Qureshi in Delhi is being shared with the false claim that it shows the elder brother of Asad, the main accused in the Surya Chauhan murder case in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, vowing revenge at Asad’s funeral.
BOOM found that the video dates back to at least May 21 and predates Asad’s funeral. The original video shows Amanullah’s elder brother, Mohammad Moin Qureshi, who is currently in jail, vowing revenge after Amanullah was killed in a suspected retaliatory attack in Delhi.
Chauhan, a 17-year-old student, was allegedly stabbed to death in Ghaziabad by Asad and his associates on Bakrid. Asad was reportedly killed in a police encounter on May 31.
The Claim:
The video is being shared on X with a caption claiming that Asad’s elder brother vowed revenge for his alleged encounter killing.

What We Found:
1) Video From Amanullah Qureshi’s Funeral In Delhi
We ran a reverse image search using Google lens and search results showed that the video dates back to May 21 and shows the funeral of Amanullah Qureshi in Delhi. In the video Qureshi's elder brother Mohammad Moin Qureshi had vowed revenge after Amanullah was killed in a suspected revenge attack.
Four months after Mohammad Moin Qureshi was arrested for allegedly killing 24-year-old Faizan, alias Fajji, at a cafe in Delhi, his younger brother Amanullah Qureshi was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Northeast Delhi’s Welcome area on May 19.
According to Delhi Police, Amanullah’s murder may be linked to Faizan’s killing in January. Police had stated that Mohammad Moin Qureshi allegedly murdered Faizan over a personal and financial dispute and were investigating whether Amanullah’s killing was carried out in retaliation reported The Indian Express on May 21, 2026.
2) Asad's funeral
Asad's body was buried late on May 30, 2026 night, citing security concerns, police did not reveal the exact location or timing of the burial reported Bhaskar English on June 1, 2026.
Navbharat Times reported that his body was first taken to his family’s ancestral graveyard in Bulandshahr for burial, however on facing opposition there, Asad's uncle, Shahabuddin, brought his body to Ghaziabad and buried it there.
