2) Bangladesh video
We broke the viral video into keyframes and ran a reverse image search, which showed that the video of the house on fire is from January 2026.
According to a report by Bangladeshi media outlet SylhetToday24, the fire broke out at the residence of Birendra Deb, a Hindu teacher, in Gowainghat Upazila of Sylhet district in Bangladesh.
The report states that preliminary findings by fire officials and police suggest the blaze likely originated in a straw shed due to an electrical short circuit, and later spread to the house. The affected family also reportedly said they believe the incident was accidental and not linked to any political or religious motive.
We also found a Facebook post by SylhetToday24 carrying a video of the incident, with a caption claiming that fire service personnel faced anger from locals in Gowainghat over allegations that they demanded money after dousing the blaze at Birendra Deb’s residence.
