Deepfakes purporting to show Indian Army officials mocking Donald Trump and criticising India over the Pahalgam attack have surfaced online. BOOM found both videos have been digitally altered using AI-generated voiceovers.
The Claim:
The two videos are being shared on social media with captions claiming one shows Commander of the 75 (Independent) Infantry Brigade Neeraj Khajuria questioning “celebrations” around the Pahalgam attack, while another purportedly showing Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Anil Chauhan mocking Donald Trump and claiming Benjamin Netanyahu is the “de facto ruler” of the US.

3) AI-Detection tool results
BOOM analysed the audio from both viral videos using the Hiya Deepfake Voice Detector and Deepfake-o-meter.
Hiya indicated the sampled voice in the Khajuria video is highly likely to be a deepfake. Results from Deepfake-o-meter also indicated that the voiceover in the CDS Chauhan video is artificially generated.
