A video showing a man hanging from an electric wire is being shared online with the false claim that it shows Mohammad Hassan, the prime accused in connection to the Dipu Das lynching case, who died by electrocution.

Reports say that by February 2026, Bangladesh police had arrested 23 suspects in connection with the case.
