AI Visuals Falsely Linked To CJP Fuel Misinformation Amid CEC Protests
BOOM found visual inconsistencies in the videos and image, indicating they were AI-generated.

Three AI-generated visuals are being falsely shared on social media as genuine amid the protests in Delhi demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar. One video shows a woman stopping a police bus, another shows a woman criticising the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), and an image purports to show a surety bond signed by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke.
BOOM found several inconsistencies in the visuals. AI-detection tools also identified markers suggesting the images were generated using AI.
The protests by the CJP and allied opposition groups have been taking place in Delhi and different parts of the country since October 2, 2026, with demands of resignation of the CEC. Over 2,500 people, including protesters, journalists, and lawyers, were detained on October 11, 2026.
1) Video of a real woman at the protest
A 10-second AI-generated video showing a woman in revealing clothes stopping a police bus is being falsely shared as footage of a real protester, with social media users criticising her attire and shaming her.

We also found another version of this woman in a different outfit here. BOOM had previously written about sexualised AI deepfakes of real protesters during the CJP protests in July as well.
What we found
Visual inconsistencies: At the 0:04 mark, a reporter’s mic appears to pass through the woman’s arm. People in the background also appear and disappear robotically, a common sign of AI-generated videos.
Meta Signature detected: We ran the video through Meta's verification tool, which detected embedded signatures that indicate the video was generated using Meta AI.
2) Video of Gen Z woman criticising CJP
The two-minute video where a woman can be heard saying she supports Gyanesh Kumar against 'political intimidation' and further criticises the CJP protests is being falsely shared on social media, claiming that a Gen Z girl 'destroyed' CJP.
Archive available here.
What we found
Meta signature detected: There were several visual inconsistencies in the video, like unnatural facial movements, which are common characteristics of deepfakes. We also ran the video through Meta's verification tool, which detected embedded signatures indicating the video was generated with Meta AI.
Account consistently posts AI-generated content: The handle @sifatsangh appears in the video. We looked through this account and found several videos criticising CJP and Congress. We ran some of the videos and photos on this account through the SynthID AI detection tool, which detected watermarks indicating the video was generated using AI.
3) Photo of surety Bond signed by Dipke
An image of a bond with Dipke's signature is being falsely shared on social media as an authentic image.
Archive available here.
What we found
Visual inconsistencies: We spotted several inconsistentcies in the image. The bond was signed on October 11 at the Special Executive Magistrate (SEM) Court, Delhi Cantt, whereas the image says it was signed on October 10.
Image generated using AI: We ran the image through Open AI's Verify tool, which detected a watermark that indicates the image was generated using OpenAI.
