Blue-Tick Facebook Page Of CJP’s Abhijit Dipke Is An Imposter

A Facebook page with a blue tick, under the name of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke, has gathered over 6 lakh followers by regularly posting images of him since May 2026.

BOOM found that the account has posted photos and videos of Dipke steadily since May 2026. We ran the images through OpenAI’s verification tool and the videos through Google Gemini’s AI-verification tool, which flagged them as made with OpenAI’s and Google’s AI tools respectively.

The page has now been removed.

The account came into focus this week after a viral claim on social media alleged that Dipke had posted AI-generated visuals of his detention from inside a flight, when he landed in Delhi on the morning of the 10 October protest. BOOM found that the visuals in question were shared not by Dipke but by this account.

Alongside the AI images, the page mixes in some real visuals from protests and copies of posts made from Dipke’s verified Instagram and X accounts, which helps it look credible.

Dipke stated in an Instagram video that he does not have a Facebook page, and that he only has a private account on which he does not post.

      The “AI misuse” claim

The page, Abhijeet.dipke.update, carries a blue tick and has over 6 lakh followers.

On 13 October, X user Samrat (@BhaiiSamrat) shared screenshots from one of its posts showing a woman in a police uniform, and cited them as proof that Dipke was misusing AI.

“I just saw a FB post by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke featuring a female police officer’s picture, but the exact same girl has two different names in it,” he wrote. “It’s ridiculous how much they misuse AI just to make a fool out of people.” His post was viewed more than 1.1 million times.

Dipke hit back on X, quote-posting Samrat’s tweet from his verified account with the words “I don’t have a Facebook page, you idiots.” . Samrat replied with a post reading “STFU Abhijeet Dipke” and a video scrolling through the account, arguing that its sheer activity proves it belongs to Dipke.

      Imposter Account Posting AI Content

BOOM went through the account and found that it has been posting a steady stream of videos and images of Dipke since May 2026. In the videos, he appears to announce his visits and give updates on protests. The images are seemingly personal shots of him posing alone or with others. Interspersed with these are some real visuals from protests and copies of posts from his verified Instagram and X accounts.

The first image we found was posted on May 26, 2026, and showed Dipke standing with a family.

We ran this image through OpenAI's AI detection tool, which indicated that this image which indicated that it was generated using OpenAI's image generation tool.

We also found images posted and image of what looks like Dipke with other CJP members. However despite some resemblance, their faces look starkly different from their real likeness.

Other images include those with Sonam Wangchuk, and multiple potrait shots of Dipke. Running them through OpenAI's detection tool revealed they were all made with OpenAI's image generation tool.

We also found multiple videos of Dipke making various announcements, and urging people to follow this account. One of the videos even provided a link "https://www.cockroachjanata.info/" and urged people to join CJP by "logging in and filling up a form".

A CJP spokesperson confirmed to BOOM that this is not CJP's official website.

We ran several of these videos on Gemini, and it indicated to us that these videos contain SynthID watermarks, and were generated using Google AI tools.

BOOM has reached out to Meta for a comment, and the article will up updated upon receiving a response. We observed that the account had been removed after Dipke denied it belonged to him.
