A video showing protesters burning the Indian flag alongside American and Israeli flags is being shared on social media with a false claim that it shows a protest by Iranians.
BOOM found that the video is from a Muharram procession that took place on June 25, 2026, in M.A. Jinnah Road, Karachi.
Karachi's central 9th Muharram procession marks the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain. Thousands of mourners gather to participate in this procession.
The Claim:
The 45-second video is being shared claiming that Iranians are burning the Indian flag because of External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar's foreign policy failure.

What We Found:
1) Video from 9th Muharram Procession in Karachi
At the 41-second mark, an Imamia Students Organization (ISO) Karachi banner is seen. We took a cue from this and found this video posted by the ISO Karachi handle @ISOTalibat on June 25, 2026, with a caption saying it's the ninth central procession of Muharram. Flags of the three countries were burnt as part of this procession during namaz.
2) Video reports of Muharram Procession
BOOM found video reports of the incident that matched the viral video. The procession route reportedly passed through M.A. Jinnah Road, and BOOM geolocated the footage, spotting the same blue building visible in the viral video.
