The claim further state that incident showed a father being attacked by his three daughters for sexually abusing them.
BOOM found that the incident took place in Faridpur, Bangladesh on June 29, when a wife severed her husband's genitals following an argument over his alleged relationships with other women.
The Claim
The video is being shared with the caption, "He used to rape his three daughters on a regular basis. This time he was trying to rape his fourth, 6.5-year-old daughter, but all three elder daughters cut his penis. This is from Kerala; India Don’t guess the religion."

What We Found: Video Is From Faridpur District, Bangladesh
1. Video Reported by Bangladeshi News Outlet: We first noticed the name of the news channel visible in the video and conducted a relevant keyword search on Facebook. The search led us to a June 30, 2026, report published by Bangladesh-based News 21 Bangla TV.
The report was uploaded with a Bangla caption that translates to: "In Bhanga, Faridpur, a wife allegedly cut off her husband's genitals while he was asleep. Later, local residents called 999 and handed the woman over to the police."
The incident was also reported by several other Bangladeshi media outlets, including Cumilla News and risingbd.com.
2. Husband Attacked by Wife After Argument: Bangladeshi news outlets Daily Ittefaq and Ajker Patrika reported that the incident occurred in Bhanga, Faridpur district, in the early hours of June 29, 2026. According to the reports, the accused wife, Sumaya Aktar Sumi, allegedly severed her husband Hanif Sheikh's genitals after an argument the previous night.
The reports further stated that Sumi accused her husband of having relationships with other women. She also alleged that he frequently burned her with the lit end of a mosquito coil whenever she protested. Sumi reportedly admitted to attacking his private parts with a blade early on June 29.
