A video purportedly showing an altercation between security forces is being circulated on social media, falsely claiming that the Chinese troops have entered Arunachal Pradesh.

BOOM found that the video is from the India-Bangladesh border during an altercation between the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and the Border Security Force (BSF) and is unrelated to Arunachal Pradesh.

This video has surfaced amid several other videos that claim Chinese intrusion into Arunachal Pradesh in the past few days. The Indian government has refuted these claims.

The Claim:
The 20-second video in which security personnel can be heard arguing is being shared with claims that the Chinese army has advanced 60 kilometers into Arunachal Pradesh and occupied it.

What We Found:
1) Video is from India-Bangladesh border
The people in the video can be heard speaking in Bengali, and security personnel have BGB badges on their uniforms. Taking a cue from this, we ran a keyword search in Bangla and found this video from the Bangladeshi news outlet Jago News, dated June 20, with the same visuals.

2) Altercation between BGB and BSF on June 20, 2026
A keyword search then led BOOM to news reports about 20 people who were attempting to cross from India to Bangladesh at the Shibganj border in Chapainawabganj when the BGB stopped them. An altercation ensued between the BGB and BSF personnel.

3) Press Information Bureau (PIB) denies claim
PIB denied the claim of Chinese army intruding 60 kilometers inside Arunachal Pradesh and stated that the video is from the India-Bangladesh border.
