1098 is a 24- hour emergency helpline for street children in distress created by the CHILDLINE India Foundation. The same message has been viral since 2017. It was viral to such an extent that Childline India had put up a notice on its homepage saying the message was not true. BOOM had previously fact checked the same claim in April 2017.
