The girl in the graphic video is from Mowamari village of Assam and not from Kerala. This particular incident happened when a 15 year old girl was being brutally thrashed by her father as she refused to give into his demand of getting into prostitution. The girl was pressurised by her father and grandmother. The father was arrested after the video went viral. BOOM had written about the same video in August 2019.
