A viral screenshot of a tweet claiming that industrialist Ratan Tata said, "if the death of 65 soldiers increases the popularity of a Prime Minister, then nobody can save this country" is fake.
The photoshopped tweet was shared by a Facebook page named 'I Am With Ravish Kumar NDTV', the post has gained around 2,500 shares and 3400 reactions as of writing this article.

The screenshot of the tweet in the post reads, "65 सैनिक की मौत से जिस देश के प्रधानमंत्री की लोकप्रियता बढ़ी हो, उस देश को बर्बाद होने से कोई नहीं बचा सकता हैं" which roughly translates to, "In a country where the death of 65 soldiers increases the popularity of a Prime Minister, nobody can save that country from being ruined."
A Facebook search of the caption of the post indicated it was viral on Facebook.
BOOM even received the same image on our WhatsApp helpline number (7700906111) enquiring if it was true.
FACT-CHECK
BOOM found the tweet to be photoshopped as Tata's official Twitter handle is @RNTata2000 and not @Rntata200 as can be seen in the viral screenshot.
BOOM also scanned through Tata's Twitter account timeline and found that there was no tweet matching the viral tweet. The Twitter account mentioned in the viral post (@Rntata200) did not exist on Twitter.
After the Indian Air Force (IAF) airstrikes in Pakistan post the Pulwama terror attack, Tata had tweeted congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the IAF for the successful air strikes on the terrorist training camps in Pakistan.
