A video showing a young woman crying and pleading for help is being shared on social media with the claim that a 20-year-old Hindu woman in Bangladesh was forcibly married to a 65-year-old Muslim man.
BOOM found that the video is scripted. We traced it to a Bangladeshi Facebook page that posts staged videos revolving around wedding plots.

What We Found
1) Video traced to Bangladeshi content creator
We ran a reverse image search using Google Lens along with a keyword search and found that the viral video was posted by a Facebook page called “Wedding Studio.”
The page had posted the video on September 9, 2026.
A review of the page showed that it regularly publishes wedding-themed videos featuring staged scenarios and dramatic storylines.
2) Page identifies its videos as 'entertainment' content
BOOM had previously fact-checked videos from the same Facebook page in February 2026, when another scripted video was viral and falsely shared as showing an elderly Muslim man forcing a minor girl to marry him.
The page’s bio had stated that its videos were created for “entertainment purposes” and had “no resemblance to reality.”
