A video from rural Maharashtra, is being shared on social media with a false claim that it shows visuals from Rahul Gandhi’s recent rally in Bihar.
However, BOOM found that the video is from June 2025 at Hindkesri Maidan in Pedgaon village in Satara district, where traditional bullock cart races (Bailgada Sharyat) are held annually.
On August 17, 2025, Gandhi launched a 16-day ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’ in Sasaram, Bihar. The yatra will be a 1,300 km march through 20 districts, protesting alleged vote theft and the Election Commission’s voter roll revision before the state election. The campaign will end with a rally at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan on September 1.
The Claim: Video show people gathered at Gandhi's rally in Bihar
The viral video is being shared with the caption on X claiming, "Breaking: A Tsunami of people have gathered in Bihar for the rally of INDIA alliance leader and LoP Rahul Gandhi. You couldn't find and inch of empty space at the venue of the rally."
