The video is being shared on X with the caption, "For Muslims, co-education should be stopped, and this kind of education system should be implemented throughout India. Salute to Kerala for taking this bold step for Muslim boys and girls."

Right-wing website OpIndia also carried an article on the video with the headline, “Burqa-clad girls separated from male students by partition wall: Video of gender segregated classroom from Kerala sparks outrage.”
What We Found:1) Video from coaching institute in Maharashtra
We broke the video into key-frames and ran a reverse image search using Google Lens which led to a video posted on Instagram. The video was posted by the account @aamersrs_mos_academy on October 10, 2025, with the caption, “Balance your life with Deen and Duniya — that’s the formula for real success. #teaching #education #mosacademy #nanded #islamic #deen #duniya #aakhira #coaching.”
The caption mentions that the video is from Nanded.

The bio of the account mentions, "Director Of MOS Academy Nanded #education". MOS Academy is a coaching institute in Nanded, Maharashtra, that offers coaching for Maharashtra board subjects like Physics and Maths, and for NEET, MHT-CET, JEE, and other entrance exams.
Additionally, we also found other videos from the same classroom with the same setup with a partition dividing the seating arrangement of male and female students.
2) Nanded Coaching Center On Viral Video
BOOM reached out to MOS Academy Nanded who confirmed the video is from Maharashtra and not Kerala.
"This video is from Nanded, Maharashtra, it is not related to Kerala. The students in the video are all Muslims. I am the teacher present in the video, I take classes there," Shaikh Mukhtar told BOOM.
3) Gender segregation row in Kerala
A controversy had recently erupted in Kerala after photos circulated online showing male and female participants separated by a sheet of cloth at an event organised by the Wisdom Islamic Students Organisation (WISO) at a hall outside The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) in Kerala in September 2025.
