A purported CCTV image showing former BJP MP Locket Chatterjee at a Trinamool Congress (TMC) office is fake. BOOM found the image is AI-generated, with multiple detection tools flagging it as artificially created.
The second phase of voting for the assembly election in the state is on April 29, with results to be declared on May 4.
The Claim:
The image is being shared on X and Facebook in English and Bangla posts insinuating that an ex-BJP MP not contesting this election, implied to be Locket Chatterjee was spotted at a TMC office.

What We Found:
1) AI Detection Tool Results
BOOM ran the image by our partners at the Deepfakes Analysis Unit, who provided us evidence that established the image as entirely AI-generated.
The image was analysed by multiple AI detection tools, including Hive and Google SynthID detection, which flagged the image as likely AI-generated.
Hive returned a 99.9% percent likelihood of AI generation, while other forensic tools also detected signs of manipulation and synthetic creation.
2) No credible news reports
We also did not find any credible news reports on the claim that Chatterjee visited a TMC office. BOOM has reached out to Chatterjee, the article will be updated on receiving a response.
